Religion, etc.

I was raised by atheists until about the age of twelve, when my mom started bringing to religious education classes at a Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregation. The result of this is that I have, to the best of my knowledge, unique religious beliefs. Here you will find some of my writings about these beliefs, as well some explanations of how I try to live my life. I'm putting them online for the curious and for the chance that someone might find something useful here. Warning: if you are inclined to be offended by religious views different from your own, proceed at your own risk.

Credos
A credo is a statement of beliefs. I first wrote this one in 1997 as part of the UU coming-of-age program. Four years later, when I was a freshman in college, I found that different parts of my belief seemed most important and I wrote this stream-of-consciousness style credo. Most recently, I have written a description of the beliefs that are most basic to me.

Belief about specific things
Not as all encompassing as a credo, here are some writings I've done about specific aspects of religion or conduct in life.
God
Life of the living dead
Power of stories I wrote this senior year in high school for a youth group run service at church.
Fairness
Acceptance

Accoutrements: myths, symbols and rituals
Well, actually I only have one myth, a creation story that I wrote back in high school. Also, there is only one symbol and no rituals yet.
